Trips and Visits
To allow our children to experience learning outside the classroom, we have carefully planned our enhancement and enrichment activities to run alongside our curriculum. During their time at Spring Hill, children will experience both in school and out of school experiences, along the way, engaging with adults in various careers and jobs roles. We aim to provide children with opportunities to widen their future aspirations through enragement with a wide range of career focused individuals. Our children will have the opportunities to experience places which will help deepen their knowledge and understanding of the curriculum area they are studying, as well as ensuring all pupils at Spring Hill are engaging with the holistic experiences we believe every child should have.
Year 3 - Fossils Day
We enjoyed a visitor from Blackburn Art Museum, who helped us consolidate our learning about fossils. She taught us all about Mary Anning and we enjoyed dressing up as Victorians. We got the opportunity to examine real fossils and sketch them.
Dan the Skipping Man
Dan the Skipping Man came in to teach us some cool skipping moves. We thoroughly enjoyed the session.
