East Lancashire Large Schools Association (ELLSA)

One of the largest school clusters within Lancashire made up of 24 large primary schools ELLSA provides a range of benefits for the school.

Headteacher Networking

The Headteachers meet half termly. This provides an invaluable opportunity to not only share expertise and support one another but to develop a shared approach to the many barriers and problems faced by schools.

Deputy Headteacher Cluster (DHC)

The DHC is focused around teaching and learning. Each year they decide on a focus for the group and undertake, research based, school improvement projects.

Business Manager Cluster

This cluster is focused on saving money for the schools within the group, allowing us to ensure best value for money.

Information Technology / Computing

Led by a very experience IT technician our schools work together to develop innovative practice and ensure we are working as effectively as we can be. The computing leaders, usually teachers, also meet to share expertise and develop teaching practice.
