This week we asked the children to plan for a weekend in the forest. If they were to live like Robin Hood what would the need to take with them? What would they need to survive?

Year 5 have been putting their baking skills to the test; we all made our very own medieval apple pies. We peeled the apples and stewed them. We made our own pastry following the instructions and then waited patiently while all 60 were baked in the oven.

5B have enjoyed creating a volcano picture. We were allowed to used any art materials were had available and any style we have learnt about.

5B were very pleased to welcome back coaches from the Accrington Stanley Trust. Over the next few weeks they will be working with Year 5 to help raise awareness of the dangers of drinking fizzy pop. The session include classroom based learning then a PE activity to consolidate the learning.
We all enjoyed competing in our sports day. We were particularly pleased to return to the Etihad Sports Arena.
