Pasta Appeal 2017

During Ramadan, Spring Hill Primary School has been collecting, pasta, rice and pasta sauces for those who have no food or very little food. Thank you everyone for your donations, they have been taken to a local food bank.

Year 6 Hockey

On 5th July, a group of year 6 children competed in the Hyndburn and Ribble Valley Hockey Quicksticks event at Accrington Academy. First of all, the children were given some coaching to develop their hockey skills, then they played matches against children from other schools. The children won more matches than they lost, but unfortunately just missed out on qualifying for the semi-finals. Our hockey players were: Fatimah, Ashlee, Jack, Mohsan, Aiysha K., Waqas Hamza I. and Alands.

Year 6 Mixed Cricket

On 15th June, a group of mostly year 6 children represented Spring Hill in a cricket competition at Accrington Cricket Club. This is an event in which Spring Hill have excelled in the past and once again we played extremely well, but unfortunately lost in the final! Our star cricketers were: Dominic, Hassan M., Hassan K., Subhaan, Hasnain, Idris, Alex, Danyal, Shayan, Alaiba and Minaal.

On 25th May, a group of year 5 children represented Spring Hill in a Cricket Competition at Rishton Cricket Club. On a lovely sunny day, we played a number of matches against local schools and enjoyed some victories and narrow defeats. Our cricketers were: Zymal, Keeva, Hamza G., Munib, Aayan, Aquib, Hassan A. Samir, Naeem and Rahim.

Girls' Football

A group of girls from years 4, 5 and 6 have been developing their football skills in our After School Club run by coaches from Accrington Stanley Trust. On 22nd May, Spring Hill competed in a Girls’ Football competition at Accrington Academy. We played against a number of local schools and although we lost more matches than we won, the girls loved the experience and enjoyed the competition. Our footballers were: Fallon, Saira, Alaiba, Mehraab, Keeva, Amun, Haaniah, Muskan and Zymal.
